The section is involved in processing of cocoons which are reared under silkworm division and other experimental batches, and provide the post cocoon reeling data, which supports the projects in selecting the batches pertaining to best reeling parameters. It is achieved through cocoon assessment, drying of cocoons, cooking of cocoons, reeling with Multi-end reeling machine and re-reeling with Re- reeling machine.
