Identify regional specific problems Region Specific research studies and feed back analysis in consultation with respective DoS and allied units.
OST and OFT test verifying and technologies developed by the main research institutes and suggest fine tuning / modifications of such technologies to provide solutions to region specific problems.
Conduct On-farm trials (OFT) demonstrations of the selected technologies with selection farmers and in coordination with DoSs.
Popularize the proven technologies using various extension methods by cluster area approach.
To conduct training for both gross root level extension staff of DoS and farmers on various technological aspects.
To conduct survey on crop yield, economics and disease and pest surveillance for forecasting/ forewarning.
Coordination of CPP soil health data / services, crop monitoring and troubleshooting services / crisis management.
