Silkworm Physiology

To conduct scientific and technical research aimed at enhancing the production, productivity, and quality of silk.
To conduct research and development activities for enhancing silkworm productivity, growth, and disease resistance through modulation of the physiological state of silkworms
To undertake efforts to reduce input costs and labour drudgery, and to promote efficient utilization of by-products in sericulture, thereby increasing farmers’ net income and productivity.
To undertake collaborative research programmes and projects with within the organization and reputed national or international R&D institutions for advancing sericulture research.
To facilitate the commercialization of developed products and technologies and promote their effective dissemination among stakeholders.
To ensure effective dissemination of knowledge, research findings, R&D innovations, and recommended packages of practices to farmers, extension personnel, and industry stakeholders.
To promote Human Resource Development through training, capacity building, and skill enhancement in sericulture and related fields.
