Mandate
  • Identify regional specific problems Region Specific research studies and feed back analysis in consultation with respective DoS and allied units.
  • OST and OFT test verifying and technologies developed by the main research institutes and suggest fine tuning / modifications of such technologies to provide solutions to region specific problems.
  • Conduct On-farm trials (OFT) demonstrations of the selected technologies with selection farmers and in coordination with DoSs.
  • Popularize the proven technologies using various extension methods by cluster area approach.
  • To conduct training for both gross root level extension staff of DoS and farmers on various technological aspects.
  • To conduct survey on crop yield, economics and disease and pest surveillance for forecasting/ forewarning.
  • Coordination of CPP soil health data / services, crop monitoring and troubleshooting services / crisis management.
