The Transfer of Technology (ToT) programme of CSB-CSRTI, Mysuru is a key extension initiative aimed at disseminating improved sericultural technologies to the field. The institute facilitates the transfer of research outputs to stakeholders, including farmers, extension personnel, and entrepreneurs, through structured training programmes, demonstrations, field visits, and capacity-building activities.

CSRTI, Mysuru focuses on promoting location-specific, need-based technologies covering mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing, pest and disease management, and post-cocoon practices. The ToT activities are carried out in close coordination with the Departments of Sericulture (DoS) and other stakeholders to ensure effective adoption at the grassroots level. By bridging the gap between research and field application, the ToT programme contributes significantly to enhancing productivity, quality of silk, and overall sustainability of the sericulture sector.
